How is everyone? I’m so happy because I am very excited for this post. This is the first brownie recipe to go on my blog! The first, I hope, of many.
Before I get to the brownies, I must mention an awesome New Zealand movie I saw the other day. Hunt For The Wilderpeople. It was such a good film! Not only was it absolutely hilarious but it was just a great piece of cinema. I love Taika Waititi’s work, and this did not disappoint! So if you are Kiwi and have not seen it yet, please do, and if you are elsewhere in the world and have access to it then I really recommend you watch it as well. Now on to food…..
Rich, chocolaty, chewy brownies. If they sound like your type of brownie, read on!
Everyone has their own idea for how a “perfect” brownie should be. Some like them cakey others like them fudgy, some dense, others chewy and some in the middle of all the above. Personally, I am very picky about the type of brownies I will eat. I like dense, fudgy, chewy brownies. Brownies that are almost considered gooey. Unfortunately, these types of brownies can be hard to come by as I often find that they can sometimes have too much of an eggy flavour because they often use a lot of eggs to get that fudgy, dense texture. Using a ton of eggs also makes brownies quite an expensive treat.
And so begins the experiments…..
