Kingsman: The Golden Circle is the sequel to the 2014 film Kingsman: The Secret Service and has an all star cast with Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges and Elton John to name a few! I found this movie absolutely hilarious and is the subject of this weeks film talk!
The movie follows straight on from its predecessor, with a lot of the original cast taking up their roles, and follows two Kingsman agents who travel to America once the Kingsman headquarters are destroyed to get help from their American counterpart the Statesmen.
I loved the original movie and found it not only action packed but also hilarious. These are proper spy movies with all the spy gadgets and over-the-top fighting and all the death - without any blood? - with the side of comedy. Or, as in the case with these movies, the comedy is in the forefront.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle has, as I listed above, an all star cast and I love that all characters from the original movie that feature in this sequel, are all played by the original people. I just hate it when movies change cast in the middle of a series!
The 'newcomers' are the perfect fit to this sequel and you are going to see Julianne Moore like you've never seen her before! She was absolutely fantastic as a - how do I put this - psychotic, eccentric, drug dealing, evil mastermind.
Also Elton John.... I couldn't stop laughing! So good.
I love the cinematography in the Kingsman movies. Both movies have a distinctive way of filming the fight scenes. The fights are not only very well choreographed but with the way the cameras movie in and out and weave seamlessly through the fighting really adds an element of just... Perfection. It not only highlights the fighting and the almost dance like quality the fight scenes have but it also really emphasizes some of the more 'exaggerated' yet brilliant moves and sequences. (It's so hard to explain the type of filming but if you've seen the movie I hope you understand what I mean).
The humor is very English in these movies (makes sense since they're English) but I love English humor. Kingsman is one of the few movies that actually make me laugh and I mean, it has Colin Firth so you know it has to be good!
They've lined the movie up for a sequel and I have my fingers crossed we'll get another so if you haven't already, please go and see this movie! I'm sure you'll love it.
