Hedgehog Slice is a classic no bake, chocolate fudge-like recipe that only requires a handful of ingredients and minimal time setting in the fridge. This was a staple at my Grandmas house (though we just knew it as chocolate fudge) and everyone in the family who knew about the fudge would walk in the house, head straight to the fridge and grab a few pieces before they were all gone. Needless to say, this recipe is nostalgic and a family favourite.
**Post updated and photos updated 2019. Original post from 2016. The below extract about the Oreo shortage is from the original post but it was too funny to delete!**
For past couple of weeks, I have been in a slight state of crisis…. My town seems to be undergoing an Oreo shortage! I have had a craving for my No Bake Oreo Truffle Cheesecake and to my dismay both supermarkets were out of Oreos. How can this be? How is possible to not stock even one package???
So I thought to myself, I CAN survive this….. They will be restocked next week…… Well that week came and has now gone and still NO OREOS! No matter, I shall try to keep calm and rein in my cravings but…… If they don’t have Oreos stocked next week I may go into full panic mode.
Salted Caramel Cheesecake is rich, creamy and sweet. This is a no bake salted caramel cheesecake with a digestive biscuit (Graham cracker) and salted pretzel crust with a homemade salted caramel sauce and salted caramel cheesecake filling, finished off with more salted caramel sauce and more pretzels for a salty, crunchy element.
Let’s talk about my favourite subject.. CHEESECAKE!
It’s been a while since I posted a new cheesecake recipe (the last being my cheesecake cookie bars) This doesn’t even really count as its not a proper ‘cheesecake’ but I digress.
Chocolate Swirl Fudge is a simple three ingredient chocolate fudge recipe swirled with a white chocolate, three ingredient fudge recipe! Two for the price of one and you only need four ingredients in total! No bake and can be whipped up in minutes.
What a way to finish off a trying and tiring week than with the quickest and easiest, no bake dessert imaginable?
