Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies are the recipe I always used as a child and the flavours I remember growing up. They're the soft, melt-in-the-mouth, vanilla cookies with lots of chocolate chips. They're the cookies that remind you of comfort, home and your childhood.

Ingredients

Chocolate Bits or chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Beat together the egg and sugar until the mixture becomes thick and pale. (Around 1 - 2 minutes with a hand beater)
Stir in the melted butter and vanilla extract until well combined.
Fold in the flour and baking powder. Add the chocolate bits or chips and combine.
Roll into balls and press down the tops with a fork.
Bake for around 12-18 minutes. Check them at 12 and if they are a light golden colour they are ready.
