Nutella Cheesecake is a no bake creamy cheesecake filled with Nutella for the ultimate chocolate and hazelnut treat. Sitting atop an Oreo crust and drizzled with a chocolate ganache.
I have been saving this recipe for the perfect moment and that moment has arrived my friends! To say that I am obsessed with this dessert is an understatement. I tested this recipe last year and fell in love. However the first one didn't set. Tasted fantastic but looked like a puddle of goop. (I still ate it anyway!).
So I tested it a second time and we had cheesecake setting success! This is a no bake, gelatin free cheesecake. With just a few simple ingredients you can have this beauty of a Nutella Cheesecake for dessert in your kitchen!
Let's just say the second test didn't last long in my house so a third test was required. You know, for quality control...
Needless to say that also went down a treat and I actually ended up making this cheesecake on my second night in Australia for a family gathering. Again, it disappeared! When I say this is a fantastic dessert, I mean it!
We start with an Oreo crust - my favourite - which is just crushed Oreos and butter mixed together. We then have the no bake cheesecake layer which is a mixture of cream cheese, vanilla extract, icing sugar, whipped cream and, of course, Nutella. Top it all off with a chocolate ganache drizzle and you have yourself a Nutella lover or chocolate and hazelnut lovers dream!
I made this in a square 9x9 baking tin but you could but you could easily make this cheesecake in a 20cm round cake tin.
It's important to lightly whip the cream first to ensure stability of the cheesecake. You can add it unwhipped and still end up with a set cheesecake but it isn't a guarantee. If you lightly whip the cream to soft peaks first then lightly beat it through the rest of the cheesecake mixture, you will end up with a set cheesecake!

Nutella Cheesecake
Ingredients
- 24 Oreos, Crushed
- ¼ Cup Butter, Melted (55g)
- 2 and ½ Cups Cream Cheese (625g)
- 1 and ¼ Cup Nutella (370g)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- ⅔ Cups Icing Sugar (90g)
- 1 Cup Cream, Lightly Whipped (250g)
Chocolate Ganache;
- ½ Cup Cream (125g)
- ¾ Cup Dark Chocolate (135g)
Instructions
- Line a 9"x9" square baking pan or 20cm round cake pan with baking paper or non stick paper and set aside.
- Crush the Oreos and melt the butter.
- Press into the base of your prepared pan and place in the fridge while you prepare the filling.
- Beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add in the Nutella, vanilla extract and icing sugar and beat until smooth.
- Lightly whip the cream until soft peaks.
- Beat the cream into the cheesecake mixture. It should be thick.
- Pour over the Oreo base and place in the fridge until set. Around four hours or overnight.
- To prepare the ganache, place the chocolate into a bowl.
- Heat the cream until nearly boiling and then pour over the chocolate.
- Mix until smooth and glossy.
- Drizzle over the cheesecake before serving.
