Tim Tam Cheesecake Truffles are sweet and creamy with the distinct flavour of chocolate Tim Tams. If you love Tim Tams and cheesecake you will love these!
Tim Tams are an Australian and New Zealand classic. Sorry New Zealand but for once Australia can actually claim these. (Unlike the pineapple lumps or pavlova!). I know Tim Tams aren't as readily available in the rest of the world, sadly, but if you can get your hands on a packet I highly recommend making these Tim Tam Cheesecake Truffles! Seriously.
I already have two different Tim Tam truffles on my blog. Tim Tam Truffles and Salted Caramel Tim Tam Truffles (fan favourite). These Tim Tam truffles use condensed milk as the base which makes them very sweet and with a slight chocolate caramel flavour. They're amazing basically. The difference with those truffles and these Tim Tam cheesecake truffles is we use cream cheese in place of the condensed milk to create a cheesecake filling like flavour and less sweetness.
It's basically like eating a small, bite sized version of a Tim Tam cheesecake.
Only four ingredients are needed for these cheesecake truffles and very minimal effort. I recommend using a blender or food processor to crush the Tim Tams as you want a fine crumb not big chunks so that the truffles having a creamier texture.
Options for these is to change up the flavour of the Tim Tams to create different flavoured cheesecake truffles. White chocolate would be amazing or maybe try one of the limited edition Tim Tams? #justsaying
