Maple Oatmeal Cookies are chewy and soft chocolate chip oatmeal cookies flavoured with real maple syrup in the batter.

I love oat cookies! The texture oats give to cookies really just takes them up a notch.
You will see from the video below how easy these are to make. The only trick is chilling the dough if your dough is too wet. If your dough is wet, they will spread and turn out flat. I have made these multiple times and sometimes the dough is perfect for baking right away and other times it needs to chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes before baking.
This can be dependent on the weather (humidity), climate, time of year, etc.
You will see from the photos I used a mixture of regular chocolate chips and mini chocolate chips. This was just for added chocolate throughout. You can stick with your favourite chocolate chips or change it up like I did. (Chocolate chunks would be perfect!).
