These Rich Cocoa Brownies won't disappoint any brownie fans. They are fudgy, buttery, slightly sweet, super chocolatey and so easy to make. The only chocolate flavour is coming from the cocoa. Minus the white chocolate chips of course....
I'm going to start this post off by making saying. I LOVE horror movies! I really do. I like them so much that most of the short films I have made in the past are short horror films.
I like getting the frights and the adrenaline rush that comes with watching them. I'm not so much into the gorey, slasher movies (though I do watch them), but more the suspenseful thriller, sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat, something-is-going-to-jump-out, oh-god-what-is-going-to-jump-out, is-that-something-under-the-bed? movies. Unfortunately for me, these really good suspenseful, jump scare, high tension movies are few and far between. But not this weekend....
This weekend I saw The Conjuring 2 and I was not disappointed! Ghosts, jump scares, high tension and suspenseful. I loved it! I am a huge fan of the director James Wan and he did not disappoint with this sequel. He has a way of creating a really tense, eerie atmosphere, that leaves us, the audience, wondering when something will jump out.
To sum up, if you like horror movies or just feel like getting scared I really recommend you see this movie. I would also love to hear if you did and what you thought of it. Are there any other horror fans? What are your favourite scary movies?
Okay, enough scary movie talk and onto these gorgeous brownies....
These brownies couldn't be simpler. Just one bowl and 5 minutes is all it takes to whip these up. All you have to do is place all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add melted butter, vanilla essence and eggs to the dry and mix. Place that in a baking pan and bake until the middle is nearly set but is still has a little wobble. How easy does that sound?!
These are for the serious chocolate lovers as they are very rich with the flavour of chocolate coming from the cocoa. I added white chocolate chips because I like a little bit of contrast against the black brownies but you could use any flavour chocolate chip or omit this step completely.
