Creme Egg Brownies are quick and easy, fudgy brownies filled mini and regular creme eggs and chopped Easter eggs. Yum!
Can you believe another Easter is already upon us? Okay not quite yet but very soon. I can hardly believe it. One moment I'm in New Zealand on my couch the next I'm back in Australia already two weeks into my second semester at university!! CRAZY!
After celebrating three Easters here on my blog I thought I better - finally - create a recipe involving Creme Eggs. Creme Eggs... The Kiwi and Australian Easter treat staple.
Seriously, you guys can't get enough of them! Do you know how hard it was for me to find enough Creme Eggs to actually make these brownies? Most shops were sold out before I had a chance to blink.
Now I am probably one of the only people to hate Creme Eggs. Okay 'hate' is a strong word so lets just say I 'dislike' Creme Eggs. I'm not a fan of the overly sweet middle (I much prefer mini eggs in my Easter brownies recipe).
As I am a good food blogger and recipe developer, I didn't let my personal feelings get in the way of making a rich, decadent, oh so dreamy and Creme Egg filled Easter Brownie recipe. If you love Creme Eggs and Easter then you are going to LOVE these brownies. (Cousin and Creme Egg lover approved!)
These brownies contain mini Creme Eggs, regular Creme Eggs and mini Easter eggs to make these the greatest Easter brownies around.
How to make the brownies?
The base of these brownies are my no fail fudgy, rich chocolate brownies recipe filled with chopped creme eggs and mini Easter eggs. Top them with halved creme eggs for a fun decoration and an ooey gooey finish and you have great creme egg brownies!
The best part is slicing into the warm brownie and finding the oozing puddles of creme from the creme eggs scattered throughout.
I hope you enjoy these Creme Egg Brownies and I truly hope you give this recipe a go and remember to rate and report back your results in the comments below. I love reading your comments!
